Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to gain hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting processes in a professional business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities
• Record and process financial transactions, including:
• Customer invoices and payments
• Vendor invoices
• Employee expense reports
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in the accounting ERP system
• Monitor and follow up on overdue customer accounts
• Support month-end close activities as needed
• Assist the Estimation team with part builds in the ERP system
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
• Support the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with documented procedures
• Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, clerical, or data entry roles preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and rarely up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry materials
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the role
