About the evaluation
The pavement all along Highway 316 is deteriorating and needs a routine repair to obtain its intended service life. It is anticipated to be replaced in 2021. MnDOT is evaluating other corridor improvements between the north junction of Hwy 61 and just south of Tuttle Drive that could be made at the same time to help with safety and traffic flow for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The project team is gathering community input to assess how this corridor is used and to prioritize area needs and potential solutions.
This evaluation will make recommendations on:
• Improved safety for all users
• Speed reduction measures
• Improving ways to access the highway
• Street access and crossings
• Pedestrian and bicycle facilities and connections
