• Choose Hastings

With over 22,000 residents, Hastings continues to be an attractive place for businesses to grow and thrive.

The city is blessed with a beautiful setting on the bluffs of the Mississippi River.  Victorian residences in tree-lined neighborhoods, a classic Main Street downtown, and the 1871 County Courthouse maintain Hastings' distinctive small town character.  At the same time, Hastings continues to grow with steady residential, commercial industrial development activity coupled with an expanding mix of public and institutional land uses. This combination of  small town charm with easy access to the Twin Cities makes it no surprise that residents and business owners who choose Hastings, stay in Hastings.

The City of Hastings works hard to ensure Hastings is a great place to live and do business, striving to provide the tools and resources necessary to assist in development opportunities and continued growth. The Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA) guides the development and implementation of the City’s economic and redevelopment strategies. In addition to Business Retention and Expansion visits, the City of Hastings works to market our community to businesses looking to start, grow or expand, here in Hastings.
