Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Stone Shop Finisher/Polisher for the 1st shift to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing final finishing work of all stone products using water-fed tools. This role ensures all products meet quality standards through polishing, seam blending, chip repair, and profile touch-ups. You’ll work with materials such as granite, marble, quartz, and other natural stones to produce exceptional finished pieces.

Responsibilities

• Perform finish work on stone products, including polishing surfaces to the required finish
• Blend seams for a smooth, consistent appearance
• Repair chips and perform detailed touch-up work
• Refine and ease profile edges
• Use water-fed hand tools and polishing equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with material handling using overhead cranes, team-lifts, and carts to move slabs and finished products safely within the shop
• Conduct quality checks on finished products for accuracy, surface finish, and overall craftsmanship
• Document job progress, material issues, and completion
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity

Requirements

• This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Regular and Reliable Job Attendance
• Ability to safely lift and move 100+ lbs. (stone slabs weigh 16–22 lbs./sq. ft)
• Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to read tape measures and shop drawings
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to quality work
• Prior experience in stone/quartz fabrication is a plus

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime: Required as needed to meet production deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Wage $20-$23
