    Job Description
    This is a dual position. Your hours will be split between hosting and serving. See below for a summary and requirements for each position.

    HOST
    SUMMARY:  To ensure a pleasant guest experience.  Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. 


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Offer an appropriate arrival and departure comment to guests
    - Handle cash and non-cash transactions including tracking credit card tip and depositing  monies into Vault
    - Offer event and promotional information when asked
    - Maintain guest traffic by seating guests at a pace guests can walk
    - Clean and stock wait stations by taking and returning carts to and from the dish room, emptying garbage cans, and filling milk machines, pop boxes, and similar
    - Complete assigned cleaning duties
    - Inform supervisor of business flow


    KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Knowledge and Certification
    Preferred:
    - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
    - 1-year guest service experience preferably in the fast-paced restaurant

    Skills
    Required:
    - Accurate and detail-oriented
    - Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
    - Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    - Above average math skills

    Abilities
    Required:
    - Ability to work fast and efficiently
    - Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
    - Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
    - Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice

    SERVER
    SUMMARY:  To welcome guests and provide table service.  Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.  May be 16 years of age or older.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Greet guests and take and deliver beverage orders
    - Answer questions and offer event and promotional information
    - Remove dirty dishes and clean tables and surrounding area
    - Complete assigned stocking and cleaning duties
    - Assist in other areas of the buffet as needed

    KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Knowledge and Certification
    Preferred:
    - 1 year wait staff experience in a high volume restaurant
