Richard Darsow has done considerable research on Bateman who was an early pioneer plowmaker in Hastings and has also restored the Bateman plow which stands in the carriage barn at LeDuc. Bateman died 130 years ago\, but his gravestone has never been marked\, so it is only appropriate that Friends of LeDuc contributed to the placing of this footstone.\n\nThe meeting is free & open to the public.
