The Twin Cities Traveling Youth Fishing Clinic and the National Park Service
will provide kids an entertaining and educational experience.  The program
was created to teach kids the basics of fishing. Participants will have the
opportunity to be active in hands-on work stations including casting, minnow
races, a baiting game and others.

Directions: From Hwy. 61 take County Road 47/46 (160th Street) west about 3 miles, where County Road 47 turns south. The field is approximately 1 1/2 miles south on County Road 47. Flying various types and sizes of radio controlled model aircraft. Static display of many model aircraft.

(Production by Black Dirt and Hastings Cable 14. Playful sock puppets explore
the world around them.  Their news stories and personal interactions are infused
with vaules such as kindness, integrity and the joy of learning.)
1:00 - Super -Fun-Time-Sing-A-Long for all ages
2:30 - Improv Performance
(A group of trained professionals take the stage for this unpredictable, outrageously
funny, and interactive show.  They take suggestions from the audience to help guide their improvised comedy games. Both young and old will enjoy the laughter that ensues!)

VERMILLION FALLS WALKING TOUR                                                                           10:30 AM
LeDuc Historic Estate/Vermillion Falls Park
Tour breathtaking Vermillion Falls and gorge while learning how the river and milling
industry shaped the history of Hastings.  Guided tour by the Dakota County Historical
Society staff.

FISHING FOR LIFE TROUT POND                                                                           11 AM - 9 PM

Participants of all ages fish for trout for 7 minutes.  Catch a tagged trout and win a
fabulous prize!  Participants can choose to either take their catch home and cook it
or they can learn how to clean their catch and then have it cooked on the spot! 
Fishing For Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth through various
fishing programs.  $3.00 donation requested to fish.

in criminal apprehension by a police dog.
