The RTD Photo Contest is open to Hastings residents of all
ages. There are three categories: people, animals and
landscapes. Photos must be submitted by July 10th by 5:30
p.m. Entries will be displayed at the LeDuc Historic Estate in
the Carriage Barn, July 17th - 19th from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. First place winners in
each category will be awarded an 11 x 14 wall portrait (an
enlargement of the winning image). There will also be a
People's Choice Award given to the entry that receives the most
votes.

The Humphrey Institute's Center for Democracy and
Citizenship oral history exhibit, Warrior to Citizen:
Stories of Minnesota's Most Recent Veterans showcases
service members' experiences, from preparing for war to
understanding their role as citizens upon returning home
though multimedia and artifacts. The exhibit offers an
opportunity to hear first-hand accounts from returning
Minnesota Veterans about the skills and experience they gained
and the challenges they face reintegrating into their
communities.
